Google to spend millions on Green energy

Google plan to tackle the world reliance on fossil fuels for energy, it is estimated to be around 40% of the world is reliant on coal for electricity. Googles idea is to replace this reliance coal with cheaper renewable energy, which is key in reducing global warming and save the planet.

They intend to develop cutting edge energy efficiency technology for data centres, generating their own electricity for the Mountain View from the 1.6 megawatt solar panel system, development of plug in vehicles and major investments into research.

It would seem that Googles intentions are green, or are they just to control the world? It is estimated that their research funding is actually more than the US government. Which makes you think?
