US drivers running out of gas

It seems that despite the problems with getting enough fuels to supply the fuel hungry Americans, they are not taking this very seriously on a personal level. For they are still driving everywhere that they can, but unfortunately because of the cost of fuel, they are trying to stretch out every last drop from the tank.

This has meant that there are many more drivers literally driving around on the vapours to the point where even that is not enough to keep their cars going.

The US car breakdown service AAA are reporting that callouts from drivers who have run out of petrol have actually doubled in the past year, proving that the drivers are not filling up as often as they should. One common fault is that someone puts in a certain amount of money, but does not take into account that the fuel has risen in price.
