The real price of oil

Nobody can escape the talk of oil these days, no matter where you are located, oil and the price of oil has an impact on virtually everyone’s lives in one way or another and yet there is talk that the price of a barrel of oil could be as much as sixty per cent of the price has been added through speculation and investors.

This gives us a false price, like any commodity it has a value, but it is also invested in by large corporations who treat it just like a share would be, if it rises they are making money, it the price falls for some reason then it will be everyone out.

But surely if the world is dependent on oil, as would appear to be, then shouldn’t there be another way of managing these natural resources?
