Solar power to take off in Japan
Japan is one of the countries which has to import a lot of their resources such as raw materials and in particular fossil fuels, which puts a massive strain on the country as they are forever scratching around for the best deals, but at the time are at the mercy of someone else.
This could account for the fact that Japan is the second largest market in the world for solar energy, in fact they have some of the largest solar component manufacturers producing equipment for solar energy products, which could the reason for their huge solar energy use.
The government are planning to provide tax and other subsides to ordinary households, this it is hoped will increase the solar energy use to fifty per cent within three to five years. This move to push solar energy use into the domestic is a sensible way to go as households use less power than industry.
