Getting your message across

Whether you are a freelancer or business you would be expecting to get some business out of your website, this is probably much more important for the freelancer as they can use a website as a sort of portfolio where people and businesses looking for your particular services can see exactly what is on offer. This will save them time and you as a freelancer having to keep going over everything that you have done.

But what is the best type of content for a freelancer’s website?

Yes:

CV
Services
Contact info
Customers
Blog

No:

Too much flash
Bad images
Begging
Errors
Broken Links

The above should act as a guide for the freelancer. The website should be an extension of your business, but it needs to “SELL” but without trying to hard, what this means is by using samples and recommendations this tells the visitor that you are in demand and so they will need you too.
